Case File: The Knoffsinger Letter_

[Note: Information that I have been able to confirm that is attributed to actual individuals and their homes/businesses in my research has been redacted from this story to ensure their confidentiality and to ensure that these individuals are not targeted in any way.]

Earlier this year, I entered my workplace and a co-worker showed me a letter that had arrived at the building. They thought it was very odd and decided to show me before they disposed of it because it had nothing to do with our work.

There were immediately two things that stood out to me when looking at this envelope. The first was that it was addressed to a government office, however my place of employment is not a government office. Not only this, but the address was not even the correct address for my place of employment. It was the address that we previously worked from that we moved from several years ago. In the years prior or since our time at that location, I am not aware of any government office using the building.

The second thing that stood out was that the envelope was postmarked in a noteworthy city in the western United States. I am in a very small town in the eastern United States and I cannot understand why a letter such as this would be sent to this location.

On the back of the envelope there is some handwriting that is written by the same person who addressed the front of the envelope. I cannot make out what it says in its entirety, but what I can decipher is “They have [indecipherable] over door to basement.”

Below I have transcribed the letter to the best of my ability. It is mostly typed, however there is some writing in the margins, as well as a hand-drawn map (I will get to that later). I have retained the grammar of the original letter in my transcription. I should note that this is not the original letter, what was sent in the mail was a copy as evidenced by the handwritten margins.

“THE KNOFF SINGERS - CHEMISTS IN [Western US State]/ [Redacted Eastern US City] (THE NOFFS!) THEY MAKE NITRIS OXIDE RACING GAS - N.O.S

MAKE COVID 19

2 FACTORYS AND AN OLD FARM HOUSE JUST SOUTH OF [Redacted Eastern US City], WHERE THE WIND BLOWS AMERICAN LIVES AWAY! A STRANGE RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY NEAR [Redacted] ST. AND [Redacted] PIKE (BODIES OF MISSING PEOPLE IN SEMI TRAILERS) MAKING THE COVID 19 IN A FACTORY BEHIND [Redacted} ST. (NOT ON GOOGLE MAPS YOU MUST DRIVE OUT THERE TO SEE THIS SMALL FARM RD.) THEY BOIL THE LIQUID AND DRY A FINE POWDER THEN SHIP BOXES OF IT TO OTHER ADDRESSES! THEY TESTED THE POWDER ON PHILY & BALTIMORE - TWO NEARBY CITYS TO [Redacted Eastern US City]- THOSE ARE THE MOST DEPOPULATED CITYS IN THE U.S.!

THEY ARE DEPOPULATING THE COUNTRY FOR A RUSSIAN INVATION! PLANNED AT A CERTAIN POPULATION * WHEN THEY FEEL THE U.S. IS WEAK ENOUGH TO INVADE - THIS STARTED WHEN HIGH SPIRIT BRIGHT AND AUSTIN (OLD RULERS FROM BRITTEN) SWORE OVER SONS WHO WERE BEING LOOKED AT BY FBI, AND P.D. INA # OF STATES FOR MOB BLDGS WITH OLD BODIE STACHES FOUND IN 4 DIFFERENT STATES! THIS ANGERED FOREIGN SOCIALIST PARTYS OVER THESE MOB BLDGS - THEY BEGAN RELEASING THE COVID TO SIDETRACK P.D. Of course, the information that indicates that COVID-19 is being created in the United States and is being distributed via the air in metropolitan areas is ludicrous and I am not going to spend any time on that, but I did decide to look into the names and locations mentioned in the letter.

The first thing is the name mentioned, Knoff Singers, I believe is related to the surname Noffsinger, a name that isn’t terribly common but one that isn’t completely out there. Not only did the cities mentioned in the letter have individuals who have that last name residing in them, but other information was verifiable, as well.

The intersection mentioned not only is real, but has individuals with that last name that live nearby and features outlined in the letter not only line up with the hand drawn maps of the area in the margins, but with business records and Google Maps information as well. The letter came from a city thousands of miles away from this location, however the specifics this individual knew about the area makes me feel like they have actually spent time there.

The letter mentions the family making “racing gas.” I could not directly attribute this name with them specifically making nitrous oxide, however I did verify that at one point there was an auto shop in the identified area that dealt with making advanced modifications to vehicles. In addition, there is a “biotech” company in the same general area, however I could find no connection to anything else outside of geography.

In addition to the hand-drawn map, the margins of the letter include some hand-written notes that include the following:

“Theyre mailing 1 box of covid with 4 or 5 other boxes of regular mail to other addresses - one is the “SAN LIN” Hotel New Orleans back side on [Redacted] St.

Boxes on the bottom have a mask on them - made(?) the chili powder is the covid other boxes on top dont have it

([Redacted locally owned store name in Midwestern US) chic(?) ILL(?)”

On the first note, I could not find any hotel with the name “SAN LIN” in the New Orleans area and none of the hotels in the indicated area have a name that resembles “San Lin” in any way.

The notes also specifically name a locally-owned business in a smaller Midwestern US town that I could find absolutely no connection to the other names or locations that have been brought up in the letter. Are they saying that these are locations that received shipments of “COVID-19?”

In the last paragraph it mentions High Spirits "Bright and Austin" and while I did find some historical British figures with those last names, I cannot find any connection between them. Later, it mentions cold cases in the 1980s. In my research there are three cold cases in this city from that time period and none of them have any association to the area they focus so heavily on.

While I have all of this information that I have collected, I am not entirely sure what to do with it. I don't know if the author is from this area originally and he is just fixated on a particular family or families from his hometown. He appears to be consuming himself with conspiracy theories and attributing them to this particular family.

Considering the author believed he was sending this to a government office, I believe he was sending this letter out to multiple recipients. Have you or anyone you know received this letter?
